Inspired by the blacksmith shop that was at one time on the site, the Beautiful Blacksmith was the original large first-floor drawing room in the mansion surrounded on two sides by French doors with views out onto the grounds. A combination of 1850’s blacksmith shop meets steampunk with a a twist of modern elegance, the room features a claw foot bathtub placed in front of the original stone fireplace that we left in the room.
One of the two largest rooms in the mansion, features of the room include:
- only room with fireplace in the mansion
- claw foot tub in front of the fireplace
- king-size bed
- walk-in shower
- separate water closet
- dual vanity sinks
- refreshment station with dorm-size refrigerator, microwave and coffee machine
- elements of room decor made from remnants of actual iron works excavated from the site
